There are many Top Ten lists for Home Sellers out there – and even more for Home Owners.  But, if there was a single item that we had to recommend to every one, for $1.00, it would be a small paperback book.  Not just any rag – but, “Consumer Reports How to Clean and Care for Practically Anything.”

Just this morning, I discovered that our edition was purchased in 2003, and was the 2002 edition, and does not include the “Care for” aspect.  So it is outdated already.  But a quick search on Amazon.com reveals that many are available used for as little as $.01.  That’s right – a penny! [plus sales tax and shipping]   And it provides suggestions and solutions for floors, dishes, house cleaning, laundry, and even personal hygiene.

In the past, we have used this for carpet stains, glass cleaner, and cleaning suede.  I can tell you that the Glass Cleaner recipe they provide makes quite a bit, and it does start to come part over time.  Consider making the gallon batch, and then distributing to friends and family.
